Chapter 42: The Book of Hunting and Slaughtering

It was narrated from Salim bin 'Abdullah that his father said: "The Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever keeps a dog, except a dog for herding livestock or a dog for hunting, one Qirat will be deducted from his reward each day." 'Abdullah said: "Abu Hurairah said: 'Or a dog for farming.'"
