Chapter 87: Blood Money (Ad-Diyat)

Narrated Hisham' s father from Al-Mughira bin Shu' ba: 'Umar consulted the companions about the case of a woman' s abortion (caused by somebody else). Al-Mughira said: The Prophet (ﷺ) gave the verdict that a male or female slave should be given (as a Diya). Then Muhammad bin Maslama testified that he had witnessed the Prophet (ﷺ) giving such a verdict.
